Peaceful Kids: Anxiety & Emotional Resilience Program

Helping children understand anxiety, build confidence and develop lifelong coping skills.

Anxiety & Emotional Resilience Program

Is anxiety or worry holding your child back?

Peaceful Kids is an evidence-informed program that helps children better understand their emotions, build resilience, and manage everyday anxiety. Through practical, age-appropriate strategies, children learn to navigate challenges with confidence—improving sleep, friendships, and their willingness to try new things.

Through engaging activities, discussions, stories and relaxation techniques, children learn that anxiety is something they can understand and respond to rather than something that controls them.

Children learn how to:

  • Recognise anxious thoughts and feelings
  • Develop healthy coping strategies
  • Calm their bodies and minds
  • Build emotional resilience
  • Increase confidence
  • Strengthen self-esteem
  • Develop positive thinking habits
  • Manage everyday worries and challenges

The program provides children with practical skills they can continue using long after the program has finished.

Note:

Depending on your individual circumstances, you may be eligible for support through NDIS, Medicare or private health insurance. Eligibility and claiming requirements vary. If you have questions about funding or rebates, please contact us. We are happy to help you understand your options.

Peaceful Kids- Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Peaceful Kids program?

Peaceful Kids is an evidence-informed small-group program designed to help children who experience anxiety, stress or worry develop practical skills to manage their emotions, build resilience and improve their overall wellbeing. The program combines mindfulness, positive psychology and coping strategies in an engaging, age-appropriate format.

Who is the program suitable for?

Peaceful Kids is suitable for children who may:

  • worry frequently
  • become easily overwhelmed
  • have difficulty managing anxious feelings
  • struggle with confidence
  • find change or uncertainty difficult
  • experience ongoing stress.

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No, your child does not need a diagnosis to attend. A formal diagnosis is only necessary if you intend to access Medicare rebates.

What will my child learn?

Children are introduced to practical strategies that may help them:

  • recognise and understand emotions
  • calm their bodies and minds
  • manage anxious thoughts
  • develop confidence
  • build resilience
  • strengthen emotional wellbeing
  • develop helpful coping strategies for everyday challenges.

Will parents be involved?

Parent involvement is an important part of the Peaceful Kids approach. Families are provided with information and strategies that support children to continue practising their new skills at home.

How many children are in each group?

Groups are intentionally kept small to allow each child to participate, receive support and practise new skills in a safe and encouraging environment.

My child already sees a psychologist. Can they still attend?

Yes. Peaceful Kids can complement individual therapy by providing opportunities to practise emotional regulation and coping skills within a supportive peer group.

Will my child have activities to complete at home?

Yes. Children receive simple activities to help reinforce the skills learned during the sessions, allowing families to continue practising strategies between group meetings.

Do I need to stay in the session?

No. Parents/carers do not need to stay in the session but are required to stay nearby in case the child needs them. Families are required to be present 15 minutes before the session end time for handover and feedback.

Is a payment plan available?

We will have payment plan options available for our programs running in 2027.

Can I use NDIS funding, Medicare or private health insurance to pay for the program?

Your child may be eligible for NDIS funding, a Medicare rebate or a private health insurance rebate, depending on your individual circumstances and the requirements of the relevant funding or rebate program.

Expression of Interest Form

Our small-group children’s programs are being delivered in the Rouse Hill area to support children at different stages of social, emotional and developmental growth.

We have developed programs for different age groups and developmental needs, with each program designed around specific skills and goals. We are now inviting families to express their interest so we can finalise group placement and session arrangements.

Please complete the short Expression of Interest (EOI) form to let us know which program you are interested in, your child’s age and the areas you would like them to develop.

Submitting an EOI does not commit you to enrolment or payment. It allows us to understand your child’s needs, place children into appropriately matched groups and contact you regarding available places and next steps.

If you are unsure which program is the best fit for your child or would like to discuss your child’s needs before submitting the form, please call or email us.
